Privacy Policy
What we store
If you select a library, its name and key are saved in your
browser’s localStorage so the preference persists between visits.
That’s it. Nothing else is stored on your device, and nothing is stored on
our servers — we have no database of user data.
What we do not do
- No accounts, no sign-in, no passwords.
- No cookies.
- No selling or sharing of any data.
- No tracking pixels or fingerprinting.
Usage statistics
We may collect anonymized, aggregate usage statistics — things like page views, referrers, and device types — to understand how the app is used. Search queries and selected libraries are logged anonymously for aggregate statistics (e.g. “Dune was searched 50 times this week”). No cookies are set for this purpose.
Affiliate links and third-party sites
Some links to external services (such as Audible) may be affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase or start a subscription, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.
Each external service has its own privacy policy and may collect data when you visit. Bookfinder has no control over and is not responsible for any tracking or data collection that occurs once you leave this site.
When you search
Your search query is sent to audiobook and ebook services from our server on your behalf. We log search queries and selected libraries anonymously for aggregate statistics.
Clearing your data
Use the × button next to your library name in the search form to clear just that preference. To wipe everything Bookfinder has saved in your browser, use the button below.
